Dick's Review | It is also a fairly rare tape in that the security was quite heavy and Jerry (Moore) got “popped” by some official and had to turn off his tape recorder just as the band got into U.S. Blues so he spliced in the rendition from Providence 6/26/74. The jam here is one of the most exceptional pieces I’ve ever heard. There are numerous firecracker explosions during the Sugar Magnolia > Scarlet Begonias jam, especially. | |

Dick's 2nd Review | The jam after Weather Report Suite is still one of the finest. After about 15 min, they fall into the most obvious form of Dark Star although it isn’t stated explicitly. This goes on for another 10 minutes and then we get yet another segment of music that has a decent Brain-Fry before evolving gradually (after 3 min) into U.S. Blues |
