Dick's ReviewThis is one of my favorites and it came from a new friend who brought it to me the day after the show. The quality is “bell-ringing” clear although Rob Bertrando says it is much too distorted in the high frequencies (I have a hard time dealing with his opinions on this and probably will never be able to appreciate what he is talking about!) The performance is quite fantastic with almost every tune having something extra special on it. It contains perhaps the most exciting version of Bertha > Good Lovin' that I’ve ever heard. Also I finally hear an exceptional version of Brown Eyed Women. Candyman is a fairly rare treat and is done excellently. The final jam is clearly the highlight to the show with some fancy improvisational pieces that make up the guts of the jam. Weir is playing rhythm very nicely during most of the Jam Material. Wharf Rat is done with surprising flamboyancy.
