Dick's ReviewThe 1st set isn’t much except for a nice and unusual medley of Let It Grow > Deal (although it is better than the 1st sets from 5/5, 5/9, and 5/11) Estimated Prophet has really grown as a tune with very exciting rushes having been developed over the last 6 months or so. The jam section of the jam from the 2nd set is mostly concerned with flirting (in a most delicious way with someone playing the fundamental rhythm of The Other One on a conga drum) and then finally (not in the usual manner) After another tasty Lesh solo) they dive into The Other One which is done very well but not nearly as good as they did on 10/15/76 which is in my opinion the best version since 1973. Wharf Rat is another highlight in this closing jam with an excellent rush, in a way I am not familiar with. The jam ends with perhaps the most exciting version ever of Sugar Magnolia.
