Dick's ReviewA lot of people felt that this was the best show of the six but I don't find it to be equal of 8-12 or 8-13 for example. Minglewood Blues is reworked yet once more! The highlight of the 1st set has to be The Music Never Stopped. Ramble On Rose is one of the best versions ever (only 1/1/79 is better we get a very big surprise with a fine version of Let It Grow instead of the usual Playin' In The Band. The 1st jam section after Let It Grow has some very tasty playing in it. The percussion jam is pretty intense but short and then we have another more spacey jam section which gradually eases into what Jed calls the best Stella Blue ever but I feel is pretty average. Truckin' is perhaps one of the highlights mainly because it wasn’t expected at this point in the jam. Nobody’s Fault But Mine shouldn't even be named since there are no vocals and it is terribly short.
