Dick's Review | The show itself didn't come with much excitement. That is nobody said much about it as contrasted with shows like 10/27 and 28, 11/5/79, 11/4/79. Minglewood Blues is very intense and burning with energy and excitement. Nothing much happening after this. Maybe it is dull because the board sounds so distant or unemotional. The 2nd set is much better but I’m beginning to understand why nobody spoke highly of this show. Terrapin Station is average and Playin' In The Band is good. The percussion jam exhibits the most excitement of anything so far! The jam section is short but nice. The highlight of the show follows: Phil signals Not Fade Away in a very unique and exciting way. Not Fade Away is pretty uneventful and laid back but there are a few nice moments. Sugar Magnolia is rousing. |
