Dick's ReviewSuperb quality tape. It being in my opinion the best of the whole east coast tour. The show gradually picks up steam and by It’s All Over Now things are blistering! We next get a rare surprise Big Railroad Blues which is performed more excitingly than any other recent version. Looks Like Rain is also pretty intense. Don’t Ease Me In is very thrilling as in The Music Never Stopped. The 2nd set opens with a pretty good version of this standard medley but nothing outrageous.

Dick's 2nd ReviewBig Railroad Blues still is the best version! I Feel Like A Stranger has some excellent jamming at the end. Terrapin Station is pretty well done and Playin' In The Band brings things up a few notches with some fine jamming. The percussion jam, which is probably missing a few minutes, has what sounds like a bass playing with the drummers and the effect is very captivating. The jam section gets going in the right direction (ie intensity) but quits early and goes down to Black Peter. Although there are a lot of red stars, this 2nd set hasn’t matched the requirements necessary for Thunder Skull certification. Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad is really one of the most exciting versions ever! Easily the best moments of the show. Around And Around and Johnny B. Goode both are quite exciting and my mind has been changed. This show deserves a Thunder Skull Award since it really never does let up from start to finish. There weren’t any really overwhelming moments as in characteristic of many Thunder Skull Award winners but it was consistently on a high level.
