Dick's Review | This show is my favorite of the four and it starts off in exceptional form with the best version of this medley in quite a long time. Both tunes are intense. Things slow down a bit till another rousing version of Big River. Little Red Rooster is exciting as usual and China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider provides an exciting finish to another good 1st set from London. Nothing much happening in the 2nd set jam until the jam section after He’s Gone which meanders for quite a while before falling into a very tasty and unique variation on a theme. This isn’t too long but it does make things feel more exciting. The percussion jam is OK but nothing special. Not much interesting until a nice Truckin' that has a short but very nice section at the end. Nice transition from Wharf Rat into Around And Around. Now that I’ve listened more closely this show isn't’ the best of the four, it might even be the least interesting. |
