Dick's Review | Nothing much to speak about during the first set. Shakedown Street is the first hint of something with some potential. The 1st jam section is the best playing so far with clear hints of The Spanish Jam at an unusually fast tempo. Actually this is not hinting, it is an attempt at the Spanish Jam. The 2nd Jam section is even more inviting with a mini or mild attempt at a Brain-Fry. The final jam section is again some nice improvisational playing. Not Fade Away is nice and a bit spirited. Not as poor as almost every version since this period! Wharf Rat is quite interesting with inspiring playing. The rest of the set seems average. A very good 2nd set all in all. |
