Dick's Review | This show has always seemed the least exciting of the European Tour. The quality of this tape is OK but things seem less than perfect. The 1st set is pretty uninspiring, nothing special and just going through the motions. Althea is noticeable as is Shakedown Street but not exceptional. The 2nd set is much better, a different game altogether. Estimated Prophet is good but things don’t actually get going until an inspired The Other One but still nothing really fantastic. The jam is unnoticeable and the percussion jam is mostly concerned with the antics of the flying Karamazov Bros and is pretty boring. Pete Townsend joins the band for Not Fade Away which is also pretty lowkey to say the least especially with all the heavyweights on stage. Nothing noticeable after this which finishes one of the least energetic shows possible from this period of time. | |
