Dick's 2nd Review | These 3 Greeks in 1982 were all pretty good shows at least much better than the 3 in 1981! Shakedown Street is a fine start and Promised Land, Loser is really quite thrilling and must be one of the best versions. Let It Grow is another major highlight of this very nice 1st set. Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain is pretty average at best. I didn’t really let a good hearing of Estimated Prophet > Eyes Of The World so that will have to wait. I really like the Weir "jam" just before the Percussion Jam. This is a special occasion for which we get Jeff starting a motorcycle on stage during the end of the percussion jam and it fits too perfectly with what the drummers were doing. The jam section following the drums is mostly concerned with teasing The Other One which is not really noticeable. It was great to have I Need A Miracle inserted at this point in the show. Casey Jones is a great touch to end a fine show. |
