| Dick's Review | This compilation of songs may be from several shows and probably should be erased since the quality is so poor and the performances weren’t noteworthy as I remember this tape. Actually this recording might be worth keeping since it does have an interesting versions of decent/listenable quality. The Dark Star (1st time) segment is ok but just as they get close to one of the finest riffs from this tune, they go into The Other One which is OK but nothing exceptional. In the 2nd Dark Star, they do a great job in extending that fantastic riff that is common to Dark Star from this period. In it Weir plays a lot of rhythm that comes from Dancin' In The Streets. The quality seems to be better that 3 - 4, maybe 5 - 6. Saint Stephen is very good and then we get a big treat (The Eleven) except it is cut after about 2 minutes of verses. |
