Dick's Review | I finally achieve a milestone in my Tape Collecting career, with these incredible quality recordings directly off the masters, owned by Peter Kafer. There is little doubt that these 4 nights were one of the hottest series ever. Everybody is playing outstandingly and the recording captures it perfectly. This has one of the finest (perhaps my favorite) versions of Good Lovin'. I also think Hard To Handle is one of their finer versions. Maybe the best of the four nights. The Not Fade Away jam is also the best rendition for this period in their development. Dark Star is especially (and uniquely) potent. |
