| Dick's Review | For the 11/10 show we get this raucous combination of tones that occurs only a few other times (ie 11/17/73 Pauley Pavilion and 3/23/74 Cow Palace that I know of) Playin' In The Band is very pleasing and direct. There is some exceptional jamming following the vocal section in Uncle John’s Band. It goes on for about 5 minutes or more and is one of the more creative sections from these two shows. Morning Dew is also noticeably pleasing. Nothing going on during the 2nd Uncle John's Band section but we are again treated to a fine and prolonged re-entry into Playin' In The Band. The next really fine part for me was the jam section following Truckin' where they play around the theme in a nice controlled and tasty way. |
