Dick's Review | This is of course their “last show” before retiring from touring. Weir says See You in July of 1976 at the end of the show. I am not so sure that this show is more exciting than the 10/19/74 one since not many tunes stand out as exceptional versions. Even so those done here are all quite adequate. It is just that they never seemed to let it all hang out except for a few places like the 2nd set. This is the first time they did Good Lovin' since sometime in 1972 before Pig Pen died. Another exceptional aspect of this show is that it is the 1st time Mickey Hart played with the Dead since early 1971. | |
