Dick's Review | Even though there are not many stars in the 1st set. Things seem to be fairly potent, with each tune being at least average. Mississippi Half Step > Dancin' In The Streets is easily the highlight of the 1st set which isn’t saying that much. Not much else is happening till we get to nice renditions of Terrapin Station which seemed better than usual and Playin' In The Band. The drum solo is uneventful. Not Fade Away is also pretty flat or without the typical flair. I guess the highlight of this pretty un-exciting show is the jam section following Not Fade Away, which is kind of laidback but also quite tasty. Comes A Time is always a special fortune and the transition back into Playin' In The Band is also pretty nice. I also especially enjoy the rolling and bouncy feel to Johnny B. Goode which is usually done in a more rock and roll aggressive fashion. |
