Dick's Review | I am pretty surprised that I hadn't heard about how exciting this show really is. This is clearly one of the finer shows of April and May tour with the 1st set being devastating. The quality is in the VG + > exc. range. Estimated Prophet is done with lots of enthusiasm and the percussion jam is full of treats with everybody (band and roadies and others) getting a piece of the action. The jam section is a unique spacey treat, nothing really aggressive and biting but tasty still the same. Aiko Aiko (Iko Iko) was nice but the highlight was the closer: Sugar Magnolia. It maybe wasn’t quite the equal to 2-1-78 but it was still a very thrilling ending to an excellent show. |
