Dick's Review | The show itself is another good one (scratched out: even better than the night before) The opening medley is pretty reserved or tame except for some tasty slide work by weir during the closing of Franklin’s Tower. The rest of the 1st set is good but nothing stands out at all, Dancing In The Streets is also uneventful and as usual the percussion jam is really a treat. This is at the beginning 4/78 when many people joined in to produce an unusual and primitive rhythm sound. The jam is short but stimulating: maybe things will finally take off. Not Fade Away saves this show from the wastebasket! It is quite lengthy, about 15-min. And has some tantalizing playing. Nothing that is electrifying but tasty, appetizing. |
