Dick's Review | Excellent show. It starts off with an excellent Sugaree and follows with one of the more perfectly raunchy versions of Minglewood Blues. Things slow down after this, until a rousing set closer (The Music Never Stopped). Bertha > Good Lovin' is good but not exceptional. The same holds true for Estimated Prophet > Eyes Of The World. Drum solo is totally devoid of inspiration. The jam section is pretty tasty as it cues Truckin' throughout. Truckin' is above average but that’s about all. They actually try to sing Nobody’s Fault But Mine but only 1 verse is attempted. Black Peter is also a bit better than usual but drops into Around And Around before it becomes exceptional. All things considered, the jam is much weaker than everything preceding which is quite unusual. The highlight of the show is Minglewood Blues which doesn’t speak too highly for this performance. |
