Dick's Review | The show itself gets a Lightning Skull Award primarily because of the uniqueness and rarity of the material rather than simply because of the quality of the performance which is excellent but not great as in 10-21-78, 5-7-78, 1-22-78 and many others. Everything is very well performed and has a punchiness or efficiency of execution that makes this show great. Greatest Story Ever Told and Big Railroad Blues are two total shocking surprises with Don’t Ease Me In, High Time, Might As Well, and The Wheel being merely nice surprises. One of the highlights of the show for me is the superb rendition of I Need A Miracle > Bertha > Good Lovin' especially Bertha which has a new feel to it again. The closing jam is performed well but isn’t particularly exciting or unusual in anyway except the through re-entrance to Playin' In The Band |
