Dick's ReviewThe performance itself has a few extra special moments but overall it isn’t in the same class as 3/9/81 anyway. The opening is a fairly average attempt but it isn’t too lacking in desire. Me And My Uncle seems unusually exciting and Big River continues to pick up the action. C.C. Rider is pretty good but not as fine as 3/9/81. Jack A Roe is about as spirited and sharp as I’ve ever heard it. The more that I listen to this show the more impressed I am. The night is definitely hot and in the same realm somewhat as 3/9/81. Passenger is also very thrilling. Bird Song is one of those extra special moments that I mentioned earlier. 17 ½ minutes of gourmet listening! How great it is to hear this style of attack which is so similar to Dark Star. Looks Like Rain is pretty average although definitely adequate! Deal is fantastic as it seems to be lately since they changed the style of it. Iko Iko is a nice surprise but this rendition is pretty uneventful. Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance is as usual. Then in the jam section we get another special highlight of this show: An extended improvisational piece (12 min) that is filled with treats. The 2nd jam section is pretty much a minor treat. Truckin' is average but we get a nice jam section that slowly brings things down to Black Peter!
