Dick's Review | The performance on this one is not up to the others except maybe 12-30-79. Jack Straw is done very well being better than the version done on 1/1/80. Things slow down considerably after the opener. China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider is very good, maybe a bit more exciting than 1/1/80. Samson And Delilah is always pretty intense. Eyes Of The World is full of energy although not particularly noteworthy. Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance is also pretty average. The best part comes in the following Jam section where they get a nice flowing (unique riff) pattern going that eventually winds down for the change into the percussion jam which is uneventful. Another highlight is the more brain - scrambling 2nd jam section which although quite short still is a fine transition to Black Peter which doesn’t prolong the closing jam very long before dropping into Sugar Magnolia which is surprisingly very exciting and a fine rush. Brokedown Palace is a great way to end a show. |
