Dick's Review | I hadn’t thought much of this show so I didn’t even copy Steve Rolfe’s masters the day after. But over the months I have come to desire a copy of this night. Pat’s quality sounds very nice, almost better than from the position (at the back balcony edge). I convinced Steve to try on the next night. The show starts off in a very fine fashion with above average although not great versions of the 1st three songs. Loser is as it describes! Actually it Looks Like Rain are both entertaining here. Nothing much until The Music Never Stopped which is the highlight of the 1st set. China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider is a great start for this 2nd set jam. Estimated Prophet and Eyes Of The World were both uneventful. Not much is happening after this until a nice version of Wharf Rat! Other tunes are performed adequately but nothing stands out at all. |
