| Dick's Review | The show itself though doesn’t match up to the previous show. The 1st set is just about as good as 1/15/79 but no versions are exceptional. Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain is above average. Estimated Prophet is kind of unique with lots of off-key notes by Garcia. The transition into Eyes Of The World is nice. The percussion jam is uneventful but they move into a Jam section that is the same basic thing that made 1/15/79 so exceptional. In this version, though, the music doesn’t come off as great. Not Fade Away is average. There is a nice transition into Around And Around. Good Lovin' is OK. |
